About Figured
Figured gives you short everyday puzzles: who ordered which drink, who walks which dog. Each one has exactly one answer, and each one can be worked out from the clues alone.
It's built for anyone whose confidence has taken a hit, from depression, burnout or a long stretch out of work. There's nothing to sign up for and nothing to prove. No timers, no scores, no streaks to break.
Why puzzles?
When confidence drops, the inner voice says you can't do anything right, and it gets easy to avoid the things that would prove it wrong. Solving a real problem with your own reasoning is a small, direct answer to that voice. Therapists call these mastery activities, and they're part of behavioural activation, one of the better-supported approaches to low mood.
So every puzzle starts gently, gets a little harder only when you're ready, and ends by naming something specific you worked out. Every solved puzzle is proof you can still figure things out.
Where Figured comes from
Anxiety and low moods are part of my life, and on the harder days my confidence goes with them. What reliably brings it back is writing and reviewing code. It's a real problem, I solve it with my own reasoning, and at the end I can check that it works. That small, honest proof does more than any pep talk.
It isn't really about code. Any problem that can be solved and checked does the same thing. So I built Figured: short everyday puzzles anyone can try, each with exactly one answer you can be sure of.
I'm its first user, and I use it on the days I need it. I hope it helps on yours.

Keeping it going
Figured is free, with no ads and nothing to unlock. If it's helped and you'd like to chip in towards running it, you can buy me a coffee. Entirely optional, and every puzzle stays the same either way.
